This section is devoted mainly to the famous “Featherbed” frame, and all the models which used this frame. These include the Dominator, SS, Atlas and Mercury types, together with the later ES2 and Model 50 singles, and some items suitable for the Manx. Some Featherbed parts were used on AJS and Matchless Hybrids, such as P11 and G15CSR, which have Norton forks, wheels and engines, so many parts are common.
We also have some parts suitable for the Lightweight range of Twins, including Jubilee, Navigator, and Electra. We would refer you to the Norton Owners Club for the Lightweight spares, and some of the pre-Featherbed era bikes, because they stock a much wider selection of stainless parts for these models. We now only stock a small number of Commando parts, which have “commonality” with the earlier Featherbed models, such as front and rear spindles and items for brakes, like the 2LS linkage.
The key to identification of Norton parts, in our case is the part name and description, as we have found the parts books difficult to work with, particularly because they did not track the model changes very well, from year to year.
